Payment Policies

Course Tuition and Payment Options

To ensure that all girls have the opportunity to participate in our programs, we offer sliding scale tuition. Once a participant is accepted for a specific course, they and their family will self-select their household income range, preferred tuition amount, and preferred payment plan.  We do not require proof of income. We ask that families pay the tuition option that best matched their financial circumstances.  Selected tuition may be paid in one payment or in 3 monthly installments.

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing equitable access to outdoor education, GirlVentures subsidizes the tuition of participants.

Late Payments

Payments for programs are due on or before the first day of the course, at the latest. If payments are not received by GirlVentures as scheduled, a late fee of 5% will be added to the charge. This 5% will be compounded monthly if payment remains absent. If payment is not received prior to course start, program participation may be denied.

IN CASE OF CANCELLATION

Participants may cancel their enrollment up to 14 days in advance of the program start date and receive full refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start will not be refunded. If payment plan is in process and not complete, the refund policy only applies to the payments already received and the remaining payments will be waived.

GirlVentures reserves the right to cancel programs at any time. While we try to give as much notice as possible, sometimes cancellations need to happen last minute due to extenuating circumstances. In the case that GirlVentures cancels a program, all participants who have paid will have the opportunity to receive a refund or donate their tuition to future programs.

Student Early Departures FROM COURSE

Refunds are not provided for early departures of any kind. This includes a student choosing to leave a program before it it over or being sent home from the course for behavioral, motivational (including homesickness), and/or medical reasons.
